Celebrating the Speedmaster’s lunar history, this Omega Speedmaster Dark Side Of The Moon watch is part of the manufacturer’s iconic watches for space collection. The Speedmaster became part of all six lunar missions and has since become a symbol of Omega’s enduring pioneering spirit. This Omega Speedmaster Dark Side Of The Moon watch Features a blackened movement that can be seen through a skeletonised dial injected with zesty yellow accents. The hour markers and hands have been treated with a layer of Super-LumiNova material, whilst a trio of chronograph counters fills the middle of the dial at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock offering 30-minute, 12-hour and small second functions respectively. A tachymeter scale is applied to a black ceramic bezel of this watch and the case of the Speedmaster Dark Side Of The Moon model is crafted from sleek black ceramic and equipped with 50-meter water resistance. A sapphire crystal glass front and back offers a clear view into the dial and also of the performance of an in-house movement. The manual winding Omega Calibre 1869 provides a 48-hour power reserve and is set behind a case adorned with the “Apollo 8, Dec 1968” lettering, as well as the “Dark Side Of The Moon” reference, and “We’ll See You On The Other Side” lettering. The 44.25mm Apollo 8 edition of the Omega Speedmaster Dark Side Of The Moon Chronograph is completed on a black perforated leather strap with yellow detailing.
